The Melbourne Stars have named their first 14-player squad of BBL|15, as they prepare to open their season against the Hobart Hurricanes at the MCG.
Led by captain Marcus Stoinis, the Stars will have some experienced names in their line-up, with the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Hilton Cartwright and Peter Siddle all included in the extended squad for Thursday night’s match.
Leg-spinner Mitch Swepson, who has played 87 BBL games with the Brisbane Heat, has also been selected for what would be his first game in green.
The Stars will welcome back international trio Joe Clarke (Eng), Tom Curran (Eng) and Haris Rauf (Pak), with all three players having represented the club in the past.
The clash with the reigning champions will get underway at 7:15pm (AEDT).
