Sky News claimed the “suspicious package” may have been a Christmas package left unattended.
The broadcaster shared pictures of a box filled with Christmas cards, with one of its journalists saying: “It turns out that once the cordon was lifted and the bomb squad vehicles were gone … It appeared to be Christmas cards”.
They added the box, suggesting it belonged to the office of a Labour MP.
However, it was not clear why the box filled with cards had been left there and why it was deemed a threat.
