Bracycephalus lulai: Tiny new orange toad species found in Brazil

The new species was discovered by researchers in the Serra do Quiriri mountain range in the south of the country.
It was found living deep in the cloud forests at high altitudes.
The international team behind the study, lead by experts from Brazil, said the tiny orange toads have unique green and brown freckles.
They added that the males were slightly smaller than the females.
On average, males were found to measure between around 9-11mm, whereas the females were roughly around 12-13.5mm.
The new toads belong to the Brachycephalus family – which are among the smallest four-legged vertebrates found in the world.
