Her music often pays homage to legends, blending nostalgia with her own moody, modern energy. ‘Aquamarine,’ for example, nods unmistakably to Madonna’s Ray of Light era, pairing shimmering ’90s-inspired production with Addison’s airy, gentle vocals.
Britney Spears is another key influence. Both artists grew up in Louisiana with dance backgrounds, and it’s obvious Addison is a true fan. You can see it in her breathy vocal style, her Y2K-coded stage outfits, and even her paparazzi-style imagery, which mirrors Spears’ iconic 2000s aesthetic.
Her Humble Beginnings
Addison hasn’t had it easy, overcoming many challenges to become one of our pop faves.
She’s opened up about her tough childhood in Louisiana, surrounded by financial difficulties. At one point, money was so tight that her father, who worked as a trailer home salesman, arranged for the family to live in a camper with one main room and a bunk bed.
Even after moving into an apartment, things didn’t immediately improve. Starting at a new school, Addison was teased for her second-hand clothes, including a pair of Bearpaw boots that classmates compared to their more expensive Uggs.
Despite everything, Louisiana clearly holds a special place in Addison’s heart and even served as the setting for her experimental music video ‘High Fashion.’

Addison’s actions show she’s a girl’s girl through and through!
When crafting her debut album, she made it clear she wanted to work with an all-female team. This led to her teaming up with producers Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Closer. Together, they wrote and produced every track with Addison’s input.
The result is a record that feels instinctively feminine, shaped through the female gaze, with glittery production and empowering lyrical content. Addison clearly values female talent—something incredibly important in a male-dominated industry.
Her Vocal Style
Addison’s pop appeal lies in her light and airy vocal tone, she’s the perfect example of “less is more.”
While she may not belt like a Broadway diva, her delicate voice is just as effective. Her gentle, whispery delivery on ‘Headphones On’ pairs beautifully with the song’s escapist lyrics and futuristic production. On ‘Diet Pepsi,’ her harmonies soar, echoing throughout the track.
Recently, she’s also been working with renowned vocal coach Eric Vetro (known for working with Ariana Grande). While we’re excited to hear her vocal evolution, Addison has crafted a unique, recognizable singing style.
