Shark Tank’s Big Night Out

Kevin O’Leary, the villain of Shark Tank, is making his big film-acting debut in Timothée Chalamet’s ping-pong movie, Marty Supreme, in which he plays a very unlikable, wealthy businessman — no, not himself — alongside former Shark Tank guest star Gwyneth Paltrow. On Tuesday, the other Sharks took a break from undercutting one another on deals to celebrate Mr. Wonderful at the New York premiere, where they looked to be having an incredible time.
Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec, Daniel Lubetzky, and former judge Mark Cuban were all smiles on the red carpet, posing with Chalamet and director Josh Safdie. Also brushing shoulders with them at the premiere and after-party was a slew of Hollywood stars and New York City characters, including incoming mayor Zohran Mamdani, former Safdie muse Julia Fox, Chloë Sevigny, and The Dare.
But Corcoran, it seems, was mostly there for her fellow Shark. “A star is born!” she wrote of his performance on her Instagram Stories, where she didn’t post the one-on-one pic she took with Chalamet on the red carpet. (Club Chalamet, watch out.)
Elsewhere on Instagram, O’Leary thanked his “Shark Tank family” for “always showing me love and support.” No word yet on if he has used this opportunity to pitch Goop on a line of statement jackets or Kylie Jenner on a line of skin care for his “Dome of Desire.” But he did write that, after his big-screen debut, he’s “hooked” on acting. If he needs someone to help him self-tape auditions, no doubt Corcoran will be there faster than you can say “ping-pong.”
