Rams starting lineman suffers injury in first quarter vs. Seahawks

The Los Angeles Rams have played the last few weeks without starting right tackle Rob Havenstein, and now they may have lost another starter up front.

In the first quarter of Los Angeles’ Thursday night showdown with the Seattle Seahawks, quarterback Matthew Stafford hit wide receiver Puka Nacua for a five-yard gain in the red zone. On the play, Rams right guard Kevin Dotson suffered a lower-body injury and had to be helped off the field by trainers.

Dotson was replaced by Justin Dedich, who was immediately flagged for being illegally downfield on a touchdown pass from Stafford to tight end Terrance Ferguson on the very next play.

Dedich has started seven games in his first two seasons in the NFL.

UPDATE: The Rams announced that Dotson suffered an ankle injury and is questionable to return.
