Blustery winds will be strongest along the western coasts, with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.

Clouds and strong winds will continue into Wednesday night, with showers across Connacht and Ulster.

Clear spells will develop elsewhere with lowest temperatures expected to range between 3 and 6 degrees.

The national forecaster expects the unsettled weather to continue into Thursday, with rain gradually clearing into the afternoon.
