Emergency crews are at the scene of a multi-vehicle collision along the Trans Canada Highway, near Ste. Anne.
Steinbach RCMP received a report on Thursday at 2:03 pm of vehicles at a standstill in the eastbound lanes of the Trans Canada Highway, near the Highway 12 turnoff.
That highway was closed for hours and only reopened at 3:35 pm.
Police say the crash may have involved three or four vehicles and that it was likely a chain reaction due to poor visibility. RCMP say it does not appear that there are any reports of serious injuries.
No additional information is available at this time.
RCMP remind motorists to stay off highways that are closed, as this endangers the safety of everyone travelling.
