Active shooter reported at Luke Air Force Base in West Valley

PHOENIX – Authorities are responding to reports Friday of an active shooter at Luke Air Force Base in the West Valley, officials said.

“So far there is no evidence that any shots have been fired. There is no evidence of any active shooter being present. Luke remains on lockdown while we continue to clear buildings at an abundance of caution,” Jose Santiago, a spokesperson for the Glendale Police Department, said in a media advisory.
U.S. Sen. Ruben Gallego said his team was “closely monitoring reports” in a post on X.
The public is advised to avoid the area and refrain from spreading unverified information.
