Leadenhall Market to turn into ‘leading’ F&B destination amid new strategy

P-Three, a retail, leisure and placemaking agency, has been appointed by The City of London Corporation (CoLC) to transform Leadenhall Market into London’s “leading dining destination”.The Grade II*-listed market, in the heart of the Square Mile, comprises 41 units across 78,000 sq ft and serves more than 650,000 City workers as well as millions of visitors each year. The current structure dates from 1881, with the market’s origins stretching back to the 14th century.
Under the appointment, retail and leisure agency P-Three will curate a revised tenant mix aimed at strengthening the market’s appeal across the week. The strategy is intended to build on Leadenhall Market’s existing retail and food and drink offer and increase footfall and sales.
The City of London Corporation said the approach would focus on attracting a range of occupiers, including restaurants, wine bars and retail operators, while preserving the character of one of the City’s best-known landmarks.
