Top judge pledges crackdown following upsurge in unruly behaviour in court
One of the country’s most senior judges has pledged a crackdown on disruptive behaviour in courtrooms.
Mr Justice David Barniville, the president of the High Court, said action was necessary in light of an increasing number of incidents of extremely disruptive and, on occasion, violent conduct by some lay litigants and their supporters.
