Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed adaptation adds two more to its cast

Two more actors have been cast in Netflix’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed adaptation, which is based on Ubisoft’s games of the same name.

Lola Petticrew (pictured below), who is known for Bloodlands and Trespasses, and Zachary Hart (pictured above) have both joined the show, though their characters at this time are being kept under wraps. According to Deadline, Hart – whose previous credits include Slow Horses – will be a series regular.

The duo will be joining previously announced cast member Toby Wallace, with the Eden actor set to play a co-lead in Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed series.

While characters in the upcoming series are still unknown, it was previously said they will be different from the games. A report last month, meanwhile, claimed the TV show will explore a time period hitherto untouched by Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series, and include figures from Ancient Rome such as Emperor Nero and Seneca the Younger.

Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed adaptation has been a long time coming, and was first announced in 2020. The series is being helmed by Roberto Patino (DMZ, Westworld, Sons of Anarchy) and David Wiener (Halo, Homecoming, The Killing), who will serve as creators, showrunners, and executive producers on the show. Filming is expected to take place in Italy next year.

Elsewhere in franchise news, it really is just a case of when and not if Ubisoft will announce a remake of its piratical Assassin’s Creed entry Black Flag. Following a myriad of leaks and rumours, earlier this month a listing for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was spotted on the PEGI ratings board website, further confirming its existence.
