Microsoft has confirmed it is investigating reports of service disruptions impacting Microsoft 365 services and Microsoft Copilot in Japan. The company acknowledged the issue through a service health alert and directed administrators to the Microsoft 365 admin portal for updates.

According to Microsoft, some users in Japan may experience problems accessing or using Microsoft 365 workloads, including Copilot features. The company has not yet shared technical details about the cause of the disruption or the exact services affected.

The incident is currently tracked under MO1198797 in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Microsoft uses this channel to provide status updates, impact assessments, and guidance for IT administrators managing affected environments.

At this stage, Microsoft has not announced a workaround or provided an estimated timeline for resolution. The company continues to analyze user reports and service telemetry to determine the root cause and restore normal functionality.

Microsoft recommends that enterprise customers and IT administrators in Japan monitor the admin portal for the latest information and further instructions. Additional updates are expected as the investigation progresses and more details become available.

Issues such as these are somewhat common, and Copilot was down in Europe recently as well, so we hope that Microsoft will quickly resolve the issue.
