BBC Two’s Gardeners’ World fans were left emotional as the show confirmed its last episode of the year is fast approaching

BBC viewers were left heartbroken as Gardeners’ World, and Monty Don, revealed their “final episode” was “rapidly approaching”.
Devoted gardening enthusiasts are running short of opportunities to catch fresh instalments of the BBC show before 2025 draws to a close, with even Monty appearing quite moved as he was photographed alongside his beloved dog Ned in his potting shed.
The official Gardeners’ World social media page declared: “Our LAST show of the year is fast approaching! Don’t miss Monty and Ned as they get into the festive spirit tonight at 8pm on BBC Two, tomorrow at 10am or if you’re in Wales 8:15pm!” complete with a Father Christmas emoji.
Supporters flocked to the comments area, understandably gutted that the programme will take a break until 2026.
One viewer shared: “Looking forward to watching. We wish all the GW team and their adorable furry companions a very healthy and restful Christmas. Thanks for another year of gardening wisdom.”

Another contributor expressed: “Not me crying because no more GW until 2026!”
Whilst someone else quipped: “Can’t wait, and then the TV goes back in the oak cabinet until GW returns in 2026. Make it soon if you can, please,” reports the Express.

Fortunately, devotees need only wait until January for additional Monty content on their televisions. He’ll be making a comeback to BBC Two for a special programme commencing on Friday, January 16th – Monty Don’s Rhineland Gardens.
Monty posted a sneak peek of himself in the recording studio, equipped with a microphone and laptop displaying video clips.
Viewers are already buzzing about the upcoming programme, with one fan exclaiming: “This is marvellous news.”
