Seahawks LB suspended 1 game for stepping on Rams RG Kevin Dotson’s ankle

Dotson was carted off after getting stepped on by Hall in the first half
The Los Angeles Rams suffered a significant blow to their offensive line on Thursday night when right guard Kevin Dotson exited the game with an ankle injury and was not able to return. He was spotted on crutches and in a walking boot outside the locker room after the game, and it remains to be seen how long he’ll be sidelined.
It appears his injury occurred when he was stepped on by Seattle Seahawks linebacker Derick Hall. The NFL announced Friday that Hall has been suspended one game because he “unnecessarily stepped on the leg of Rams guard Kevin Dotson” after the play was over.
The league deemed it “an act of unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct,” banning Hall for Week 16. Hall is appealing the suspension, according to reports.

Justin Dedich replaced Dotson on the next play and remained in the lineup for the remainder of the game. He’ll presumably be the Rams’ right guard until Dotson is able to return, if Dotson misses any time at all.
The Rams don’t play next until Monday, Dec. 29, so Dotson does have some extra time to rest and recover.
