Prediction, pick for Alycia Baumgardner vs. Leila Beaudoin

Ryan Wohl gives his best bet for Alycia Baumgardner vs. Leila Beaudoin at tonight’s boxing card on Netflix.
The IBF and WBO Women’s Super Featherweight Champion, Alycia Baumgardner, is back to defend her titles against Leila Beaudoin in the co-main event of tonight’s boxing card on Netflix. In this contest, both fighters have one career loss: Baumgardner is 16-1, while Beaudoin is 13-1. Baumgardner is currently on an 11-fight unbeaten streak since her last loss, as Beaudoin has won four consecutive bouts.
This card is headlined by a Heavyweight bout between Olympic Gold Medalist Anthony Joshua and influencer-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul. Here is my best bet for Alycia Baumgardner vs. Leila Beaudoin.
Alycia Baumgardner is the best women’s fighter at Super Featherweight and is coming off a victory against Jennifer Miranda in July. She has held gold for a long time, as she has been champion at 130 pounds since 2021. Even though Beaudoin is ranked as the No. 4 contender in this division on BoxRec, she isn’t as proven as Baumgardner.
Since joining Most Valuable Promotions, Jake Paul and Nikisa Bidarian have done a tremendous job of highlighting their elite female roster, including Baumgardner. Baumgardner signed with MVP in March and since competed at The World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden, in July.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Baumgardner is a massive -1400 to win this fight while Beaudoin is a +750 underdog. Baumgardner has won seven fights by knockout in her career, but hasn’t scored one since 2021. With her last five wins having been by decision, getting her at -200 to win on the judges’ scorecards is a much better value play than by moneyline.
Beaudoin is talented but lacks the championship experience Baumgardner has. This is Baumgardner’s eighth consecutive world title fight. Baumgardner is an elite defensive boxer, as opponents land only 7.6 punches per round at a 22 percent rate, according to CompuBox. If Baumgardner is the aggressor while displaying elite defense, another dominant performance is likely.
