Blue Jackets acquire Mason Marchment from Kraken for two picks

Marchment landed with the Kraken in an off-season trade from the Dallas Stars in August and played in 29 games with Seattle. He has four goals and 13 points this season while averaging just less than 17 minutes of ice time per night.

The 30-year-old forward entered 2025-26 having scored 22 goals in back-to-back seasons, helping the Stars reach the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

In seven NHL seasons, Marchment has played with Toronto, Florida, Dallas and Seattle.

The Uxbridge, Ont., native was initially signed as an undrafted free agent by the Maple Leafs in 2018.

Marchment is currently in the final season of a four-year, $18-million contract that he signed with the Stars in 2022.

For his career, Marchment has 80 goals and 202 points in 331 games. He has tacked on an additional 11 goals and 19 points in 59 post-season contests.
