A woman has been left with life-threatening and potentially life-changing injuries following an incident on the railway tracks at Watford High Street station this afternoon (Friday, October 17).
Emergency services, including police officers and paramedics, were called to the station on Lower High Street at around 3pm after reports of a “casualty on the tracks.”
The woman received medical treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital for further care.
According to British Transport Police, investigations are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Train services on the London Overground have been heavily disrupted, with all Lioness Line routes between Watford and London suspended. Disruption is expected to continue until at least 7.30pm.
According to reports, an air ambulance was also seen attending the scene.
British Transport Police have been contacted for comment.
