Fallout Fans Are Flooding Obsidian’s Comments With Calls To Remaster New Vegas

It might be hard to believe, but 15 years ago on this day, Obsidian released Fallout: New Vegas, arguably the best Fallout adventure and one that still resonates with gamers to this day. Even all these years later, the game still maintains a dedicated fan base, one that continues to make new discoveries or create new additions for players to experiment with.
That said, the game is pretty dated, and would no doubt benefit from the Remaster or Remake treatment. But don’t take it from us. In celebrating New Vegas’ anniversary, hundreds of fans have called on Obsidian to do just that.
Obsidian Had To Know These Calls Were Coming
Over on Twitter, the official Obsidian account took a minute to celebrate the 15-year anniversary, and thank fans for their support all these years later. Naturally, fans used the moment to beg for what we’ve all been hoping for.
“So… you’re making a remaster? Right? Or …or a remake?!? You’re announcing one of those, right? Right? You’re not just wasting this opportunity, are you? Would you? No, right? So… when’s it dropping?” a fan replied.
They’re not the only ones, as one quick glance at the 170 comments, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything different. That’s not even mentioning the 1,700 retweets, many of which echo the same sentiment.
Unfortunately, there’s no announcement to be found. Instead, there will be a celebration panel next month during Fallout Fan Celebration, a fan-created and fan-hosted convention.
Surely, the fine folks at Obsidian, Bethesda and Xbox have to be listening to fans at this point, right? Because this isn’t even the first time this year that fans have called for a remaster, as when Oblivion Remaster shadowdropped, fans immediately began begging for New Vegas to get the same treatment.
Which is to say, hopefully, by the time we celebrate the 20-year anniversary of New Vegas, we won’t have to flood the Twitter replies with the same calls and, instead, can, well, celebrate.
