U.S Women’s National Team to make history at CPKC Stadium

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The U.S. Women’s National Team will make history Wednesday night when they take on New Zealand at CPKC Stadium at 7 p.m.
The match marks a historic moment as two women’s soccer teams compete at a stadium built specifically for women’s sports. Despite cloudy and windy conditions, excitement is building throughout Kansas City for the landmark game.
Fans prepare for historic match
Soccer fans are preparing for the big moment by purchasing team merchandise. Rally House in the Power and Light District is stocking a full wall of U.S. Women’s National Team gear beyond just a few t-shirts.
“Just being able to support women’s sports, I’ve been supporting sports my entire life. I’ve always wanted to support the women in sports and I think it’s great for the city and I think it’s great for our fans here,” said Jacek Haskey, team sales lead at Rally House.
Tickets for tonight’s match range from about $31 on the lower end to a couple hundred dollars for premium seating.
