Callum Turner reveals his meet-cute moment with fiancée Dua Lipa

Callum Turner is shedding some light on his meet-cute with Dua Lipa.
The British actor, 35, who announced his engagement to the global pop star in June, told The Sunday Times in a new interview that he and Lipa, 30, bonded over reading the same book.
Turner said the two met at pre-party drinks for a mutual friend’s birthday in Los Angeles.
“We sat next to each other and realized we were reading the same book, which is crazy,” he told the outlet. “It’s called ‘Trust’ and I had just finished the first chapter.” “Trust,” a novel by Hernán Díaz, won the Pulitzer Prize and follows the secretive life of a 1920s financier in New York City.
“I told her and she looked at me and said, ‘I just finished the first chapter too,'” Turner said, before revealing a smooth pickup line: “I said, ‘So we’re on the same page.'”
Turner, who is set to star in A24’s new romantasy film “Eternity,” told the outlet the moment felt just like the movies.
“In the movie version of it, I look up to the sky and I’m like, I hear you. I understand,” he said. “The signs are loud, don’t worry. And that was really the first (moment).”
Lipa, who is in the midst of her Radical Optimism tour, previously gushed about her engagement to Turner, telling Vogue in June: “It’s very exciting.”
Lipa revealed that Turner had the ring made for her after consulting with her friends and sister, telling the outlet, “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
