Nuno’s Wan-Bissaka or Walker-Peters conundrum at West Ham

West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo has a difficult decision to make, does he start Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Kyle Walker-Peters against Brentford this evening?
I can’t remember a time where West Ham had such great competition in one position, but new signing Kyle Walker-Peter has displaced last years hammer of the year in the starting lineup a lot this season, and has himself been our best player alongside left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf.
KWP became a guaranteed starter under Graham Potter after he dropped AWB from the lineup after his woeful performance in the 5-1 defeat to Chelsea at London Stadium in August. The former Southampton man kept his place in the team due to his excellent performances.
He kept his place in the team for Nuno’s first match against Everton, but that may have been because AWB was still suffering from illness , as the former Manchester United and Crystal Palace defender came in to play Arsenal despite a solid performance from Walker-Peters at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
This suggests that Nuno probably favours AWB at right back, and thats completely understandable, he is one of, if not the best one on one defender in the Premier League. Not only that, he offers more of a threat going forward, he’s faster and offers a threat in-behind which helps when Jarrod Bowen comes inside.
KWP is a brilliant back-up option, he’s a different player to AWB, he prefers to come inside and is more of a passer while the former Palace man is more of a runner. His minutes will obviously be limited if he’s not our starting right-back, but the fact he can play both sides as both a full-back and a wing-back will mean he’ll always get game time.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will almost certainly start for the Hammers tonight with the job of stopping Kevin Schade and co down their left side, while also trying to provide for Jarrod Bowen, Crysencio Summerville and Callum Wilson or Marshall in attack,
