Set For Life gives Lotto players a chance to win £10,000 every month for 30 years
One lucky lottery player has won a National Lottery prize after purchasing a Set For Life ticket. A dad from St Helens has won £10,000 a month for one year and plans on treating his family with the winnings. The mystery winner won the incredible prize earlier this year, August 7.
He played the lottery game online and matched all five numbers. He said he couldn’t believe it when he saw the life changing results and will now spend some of the money on a once in a lifetime trip to Disneyland with his children.
The ticketholder said: “I feel like we are in a dream, with the fact that we are going to see £10,000 in our bank account, every single month for a whole year.”
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said, “Huge congratulations to this St Helens dad on his fantastic prize, winning £10,000 a month for a year on Set For Life. His kids are also in for a massive treat being taken on a trip to Disneyland. I hope they all have a magical holiday.”
To play Set for Life, players must pick five numbers from 1-47 and one Life Ball number from 1-10, alternatively, players can go for a complete lucky dip – with no say in what numbers they are given.
If you want to play Set for Life, you can choose draw days of Monday or Thursday, some players may choose to play both. Players can play up to seven lines of numbers and buy up to ten pay slips at a time. The cost of a single ticket is £1.50.
Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. They can also buy and check tickets in retail.
Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.
The fixed prizes for Set for Life are everything from the top prize of £10,000 a month for 30 years, to the second prize of £10,000 a month for one year and £5 for matching just two main numbers.
It has been a lucky couple of months for National Lottery players. One player saw their life change overnight this month as they came forward to claim the £25 million EuroMillions jackpot.
The ticket-holder won £25,701,358 on October 10, which comes after another UK ticket-holder won £26 million in the draw on October 3.
National Lottery says there are two jackpots that are yet to be claimed from Lotto draws. On October 4, a single ticket-holder won the Lotto jackpot of £10,633,323. They matched all six main numbers in the draw, 06, 08, 12, 33, 49, 59, to walk away with the jackpot. This ticket was purchased in retail.
And on October 8, the Lotto jackpot was won again, when a single ticket matched the six main numbers 02, 21, 42, 48, 56, 57 and it is now worth £2 million.
