ANZ customers report both online banking and app are ‘currently unavailable’

ANZ customers have been left stranded at checkouts with online banking services appearing to be experiencing an outage.

Reports were first lodged on Down Detector about 12.30pm on Tuesday, with more than 2700 reports flooding in by about 1.10pm.

Customers trying to access the bank’s phone app have since been met with an alert notifying them that it is “unavailable”.

“We are working to have the ANZ App available again as soon as possible,” the alert reads.

“We apologise for the inconvenience.”

Customers also took to the bank’s social media accounts to report the outage, saying they can’t log in on “PC or mobile”.

“Can’t get into either and I’m at the shops trying to buy formula,” one said.

Another added the “app isn’t working or the ATM … Lucky I have cash”.
