Efforts to enlist Dana and even Remi fail, and he has to head off, explaining to Dana that his brother is the golden child, and he’s the embarrassment. It’s a cheesy goodbye between Sonny and Dana as he departs.

As Dana startles Harper, she catches her going through her dating app profile. Harper’s determined it will help her move on from Tane. Although Dana’s excited, Harper’s not convinced how to approach her matches, particularly when they ask about kids.

Dana argues that Archie’s a good filter, and Harper takes the plunge and replies to ‘Donny’, leading with honesty about her son. When Donny invites her to coffee, Dana steals her phone and suddenly Harper is about to meet the person she matched with in person… but is feeling far from ready for that…

Bree scolds Remi – she invited him here so she could be clear – he is no longer to contact her. If he does, she’ll take out an AVO against him. She explains there was only ever one other person who made her feel so small and helpless… her abusive ex. This cuts Remi deep.

He withdraws, insisting he’ll get out of her way. At home, he thanks Sonny and Eden for their support and is determined to focus on getting his life together now. Meanwhile, Levi tries to lift Bree, but she still ends up alone in her hospital bed, scrolling through her phone, deleting photos of her memories with Remi.

Justin and Marilyn each detect Alf’s sour mood and Marilyn knows it is about Cohen. Later when Justin comes across Alf fishing on the beach, he invites him up for a beer, encouraging him – at the end of the day, Alf and Roo turned that kid’s life around. He’s got to be proud of that.

Suspicions and second chances

7.30 am streams on Amazon Prime

Things are tense at No. 24 as Nicolette struggles to adjust to having Addison, the troubled foster teen, under her roof. Though she feels a fleeting maternal instinct, Nicolette’s protective streak quickly turns to paranoia when she starts digging into Addison’s past.

When Krista catches Nicolette doing some late-night sleuthing, she’s horrified to discover the truth — Addison’s mother is Shannon Rutherford, the same drug dealer whose recklessness landed Abby in hospital. The revelation rocks Nicolette, who becomes even more determined to get Addison out of her home — despite Paul and Jane’s pleas not to judge the girl by her mother’s mistakes.

But just as Nicolette starts to soften, Addison overhears her doubts. Heartbroken, the teen decides she’s leaving for good. By the time Nicolette realises how unfair she’s been — and that Addison deserves stability, not suspicion — it’s too late. A new foster placement is offered, and Addison decides to take it. As she packs up, Nicolette is left with a heavy heart… and a painful lesson about trust.

Elsewhere, Zac’s day is a rollercoaster of secrets and close calls. Still haunted by the past he left behind in Darwin, things take a turn when a hotel guest recognises him — and uses the information to score a free stay. Trying to bury the problem, Zac makes an even riskier move by hooking up with Wes, another hotel guest, adding yet another secret to his growing list.

But Elle isn’t fooled. She notices Zac’s jumpy behaviour and the strange excuses he keeps making. When she later catches him out in a lie — and spots him acting suspiciously again — her patience snaps. Elle’s had enough of the mystery man routine… she wants answers, and Zac might not be able to lie his way out this time.

Meanwhile, over on Ramsay Street, Susan’s maternal radar is pinging. She senses Colton is struggling — especially as he continues to dodge questions about Wendy’s accident. When she gently tries to help, he lashes out, only to later regret it when he sees Zac kissing Wes, leaving him even more confused and raw.

Eventually, Colton breaks down and apologises to Susan, revealing the real source of his pain: Wendy’s accident triggered memories of losing his own mother suddenly years ago. He explains how working in aged care is his way of making peace — trying to give others the compassion he couldn’t give his mum. Susan, moved by his honesty, finally understands his emotional intensity — and the pair forge a new bond built on empathy and trust.
