Chatting to Ben Edwards on the To The Heart of It podcast, Holly, who is married to footballer Jacob Blyth who she began dating back in July 2017, said: “My biggest trauma was definitely my previous relationship before this one.”

Here, Holly is presumed to be talking about her relationship with Geordie Shore star Kyle Christie, her last ex-boyfriend who she split from after three years back in March 2017.

She added: “And that f*****g tore me down to absolute rock bottom.”

Holly, who recently opened up on being forced to go “cold turkey” as she revealed an addiction that saw her crack five times a day, continued: “But you know what? I look at it now and I’m like, that was the best thing that ever happened to me.

“Didn’t feel like it at the time, literally was the worst thing to ever go through.

“I hope no one ever has to go through that ever, because it was horrendous.”

At the time of their break-up, which the pair said came to a “natural end”, an insider told The Sun: “Holly and Kyle decided to their end their relationship, it was all on good terms and there was no one else involved.

“They are going to stay good friends and care for each other very much.”

In an emotional Instagram post, Holly wrote: “Kyle and I split a few weeks ago very amicably. Nobody had done anything wrong and it’s certainly not because of the tattoo.

“We had a crazy three years together and it just came to a natural end. We grew so much and we learned a lot about ourselves and personally I’ve come out stronger than I ever thought possible.”

Holly ended the message by admitting their break up was “best for both of us”.

Now, the mother reflected on her personal growth since the public break-up, as she beamed: “But my god, the person that I came out of that from and how I built my boundaries that I never had, how I built the self-esteem that I never had and how I clawed that back for myself, and I didn’t need anyone else to do it.

“Sometimes you hear of people getting in relationships with new people and they make them happy again – that didn’t happen for me.

“I’ve made myself happy on my own.”
