And it’s the latter item that has got some fans in a real twist.
On the UkNewestFoods Instagram page, one wrote: “Can’t wait to try the pineapple McSpicy”, while another said: “Pineapple on a chicken burger” – followed by an ill-face emoji.
Another posted: “Not sure how I feel about the pineapple.”

‘I wasn’t too sure’ – our reporter’s verdict on the Pineapple McSpicy
“The Pineapple McSpicy is an Australian favourite, but I think it will be a controversial one – mainly because it includes a slice of pineapple,” writes Emily Mee, The Sun’s Consumer Reporter.
Emily added: “The burger has chicken breast in a spicy crispy coating, the classic sandwich sauce, bacon, cheese, lettuce, and of course the pineapple slice inside a toasted sesame seed bun.
“I’m actually someone who doesn’t mind pineapple on pizza, so I thought I’d like this, but I wasn’t a huge fan.
“I wasn’t too sure the flavours worked for me.
“But my cameraman, Andrew, said he enjoyed it and I heard two girls next to me also saying they liked it – so it might depend on your taste buds.
“The Pineapple McSpicy will cost £6.29 just for the burger or £7.99 as a meal.”
