‘Lighthouse in the storm’: Melbourne nutrition influencer dies after home birth

The couple were adventurous and had travelled together to Norway, Switzerland and Sri Lanka. They were married in the Maldives last year, which Nathan described as “the happiest day of my life”.

But despite Stacey’s intrepid spirit, “her favourite pastime was reading a book with a mug of green tea and our French Bulldog, Winter, by her side”, Nathan said.

Jon Downie, a representative of the family, described the couple as soulmates who dreamed of raising a family.

“They were excited for the birth of their child,” Downie said in a statement. “Stacey, however, was only able to experience the joy of her new baby boy for a few short moments.”

As well as her success in building a following on social media, Stacey founded a food content creation agency, Waffl, and had degrees from La Trobe and Curtin universities.
