The 20-year-old Eala, who now has 1131 points, climbed up the ladder despite absorbing an early exit at the Japan Women’s Open, where she lost to Tereza Valentova of Czechia in their Round of 32 match.

She now sets her sights on the Guangzhou Open as she takes on tough opponents in both the singles and doubles event on Tuesday.

Eala will team up with Nadiia Kichenok of Ukraine as they face the pair of Tang Qianhui and Emily Appleton in the morning then she will slug it out in the singles against American Claire Liu in the afternoon.
