Meghan Brings Effortless Elegance to Emma Grede’s “A Seat at the Table” Dinner in L.A.

The Duchess of Sussex joined a star-studded group of women in Los Angeles on Wednesday, night, for A Seat at the Table, a dinner hosted by entrepreneur Emma Grede — and she came bearing bottles from her own lifestyle brand, As Ever.

The intimate evening took place at the stunning home of designer Kelly Wearstler, with a plant-based menu created by chef Camilla Marcus. The event, planned by Stephanie Horton and sponsored by Shop by Google, brought together influential women across industries to celebrate collaboration, authenticity, and empowerment.

About “A Seat at the Table”
Emma’s post on Instagram below—
Emma Grede, who serves as the founding partner and chief product officer of SKIMS and CEO and co-founder of Good American, shared a heartfelt reflection about the event on Instagram:
“In a city built on big dreams and even bigger ambition, one truth remains — success is never built alone. For too long, we’ve watched how men in business have mastered this: making deals over dinner, sharing opportunities over a game, and opening doors for one another in rooms we can’t always see.”
Grede explained that the dinner series was designed to foster that same energy among women — creating space for honest conversations, shared resources, and mutual support.
“This dinner series is about making that energy ours. About women coming together to share openly, trade resources, and help each other get things done… Here’s to more seats, more voices, and more women leading, building, and owning their power.”
The candlelit table was set with tall black candelabras and cherry blossom floral arrangements, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Guests included Rachel Zoe, Bozoma Saint John, Maria Sharapova, Nicole Avant, Chriselle Lim, and Danessa Myricks, among others — a powerful reminder of how women from diverse backgrounds can come together to collaborate and uplift one another.

The Duchess’ appearance also marked another spotlight moment for her new venture, As Ever, as guests enjoyed wine from the brand during the dinner.
For the dinner, Meghan opted for a chic tan two-piece suit paired with a white top. She accessorized with her gold collar necklace by Aurate and completed the look with pointed-toe black Balenciaga heels. Her hair was styled in a sleek, pulled-back look, and she kept her makeup natural and glowing — a signature of her polished yet approachable style.

Now my look at what Meghan wore—
Meghan wore a blazer and trousers from Giuliva Heritage—‘Stella’ linen/silk Blazer ($1631) and ‘Elsa’ linen/silk trousers ($1042) both in camel.
She wore a white top underneath – which could be a tank top style.
Her Balenciaga Knife pointed-toe pumps in black, $990 again.
Meghan also wore her Aurate Collar Necklace in gold vermeil over sterling silver, reg. $2535 now $998 or the 14K gold reg. $22,849 now $8,788.
Meghan first wore the necklace in 2015 during her trip to Malta, and again a few months later in a photo with her designer friend Roland Mouret in Istanbul (Instagram). She brought the piece back out in 2022 for a car scene in Harry & Meghan on Netflix, and most recently during the couple’s visit to the State Governor’s House to meet Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos and again in Nigeria, May 2024.
I think Meghan might be wearing her Polène – the Éole stud earrings, $190 again.
Speaking of wine… I just received the As Ever 2024 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and I have to say, it’s really good! Crisp and delicious! Order it here.
