McDonald’s is getting spooky again as Boo Buckets return for 2025. And after getting some online hate for Boo Buckets redesign in 2024, the company says some classic faces will return.
The fast-food giant will release the Halloween-themed Happy Meal containers, a tradition that dates to 1986, on Oct 21. The 2025 buckets feature three classics and two new options, with additional ways to customize them. McDonald’s seems to be excited about the 2025 Boo Buckets release.
“Halloween buckets are popping up everywhere like ghosts in the night – and hey, imitation is the most BOO-tiful form of flattery,” McDonald’s said on its menu spotter website. “But let’s be real: there’s only one OG Halloween bucket, and it comes with a Happy Meal.”
