Roony Bardghji, Flick’s secret weapon

Roony Bardghji, 19, made a decisive impact in the closing minutes against Girona, directly contributing to the goal scored by Araujo that sealed Barcelona’s last-gasp victory.
Just as the coach is expected to reward the Uruguayan defender with a starting spot against Olympiacos this Tuesday (6:45 p.m. CET / 12:45 p.m. ET), it is not out of the question that Bardghji could also be included in the starting lineup against the Greek side.

The Swedish forward may be the German coach’s hidden card—not on the right wing, where Lamine is set to start again after making his return last Saturday against Girona, but rather in the No. 10 role, unless Flick opts to shift him to the left flank, allowing Fermín to take over in the playmaker position.
If Flick does decide to field Bardghji behind the No. 9, the role would be nothing new for him—just as playing on the left wing would not surprise Fermín, who already featured there against Girona.
During his time at Copenhagen, Roony truly shone in the No. 10 role, constantly breaking into the opposition’s box.
In fact, prior to his serious ACL injury, he was the top scorer in the Danish Superliga. Roony is a forward with a constant eye for goal and never hesitates to shoot when he gets near the penalty area.
