An ‘enthralling’ Channel 5 series with a Line of Duty star which fans say ‘doesn’t let you down’ has been quietly added to Netflix.
Running for six seasons, consisting of 36 episodes, from 2012 to 2021, the police procedural drama is one of the BBC’s biggest ever hits.
Receiving strong word of mouth after initially airing three seasons on BBC Two, where it was the station’s highest-rated series in 20 years, the next three seasons were moved to BBC one.
Starring Vicky McClure, Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar, Line of Duty followed the fictional police force known as the Anti-Corruption Unit 12 (AC-12).
Tasked with ‘policing the police’, the AC-12 were questioning at all times if they could trust anyone, including those in their teams.
With fans of the series speculating that it may come back in some form, possibly receiving a film like Peaky Blinders, a number of famous UK stars popped up on Line of Duty over the years.
The Walking Dead’s Lennie James, Trainspotting’s Kelly Macdonald, Westworld’s Thandie Newton and Adolescence’s Stephen Graham all had memorable arcs on the series.

Despite the amount of stars who joined along the way, for many viewers Adrian Dunbar’s Superintendent Ted Hastings is the heart of Line of Duty.
The Northern Irish actor has appeared in the likes of Ashes to Ashes, Ridley, My Left Foot and The Crying Game over the years.
While Dunbar is one of the UK’s most popular actors, one of his many stellar series’ went unfairly under the radar several years ago.
Released in 2018, Blood stars Dunbar and Unforgotten’s Carolina Main and follows a young woman heading home to Dublin after the death of her mother, only to discover her father may be hiding something.
Its synopsis reads: “Cat Hogan returns home to a fictional small town in the Dublin commuter belt following the news that her mother, who had been suffering from a long illness, had died after falling over and striking her head against a rock at the family home.
“Haunted by flashbacks from an incident in her childhood, she is convinced her father had something to do with her mother’s death, and her family is torn by suspicion and grief. She begins to question whether her mother’s death was an accident.”
Airing two seasons, with the second released in 2020, many fans have left reviews X, previously known as Twitter, to explain why Blood deserves more praise.

@janbets55 commented: “Channel 5 #blood, loved it. Loved series 1 and series 2 didn’t let me down, brilliant. Shame it doesn’t get more public recognition and to see Adrian Dunbar out of uniform a pleasant surprise too.”
