Loose Women star Ruth Langsford has slammed an AI story which suggested that she’s ‘found a new man’ after having to respond to the claims to her friends.
ITV star Ruth announced her surprising separation from her husband of 14 years Eamonn Holmes last May.
The former couple share a son named Jack, who was born in 2002, and presented on This Morning together from 2006 until 2021
Prior to meeting Ruth, Eamonn had three other children, Declan, Rebecca and Niall, from his first marriage to Gabrielle Holmes, who he separated from back in 1994.
Shortly after his relationship with Ruth, 65, was confirmed to be over, 65-year-old Eamonn began seeing therapist Katie Alexander, 43.
At the beginning of Tuesday’s (November 4) episode of Loose Women, Ruth teased viewers that she would be ‘revealing all’ about her and her ‘new man’.
Prior to discussing this, Ruth asked internet personality Grace Keeling, AKA GK Barry, to explain to her and her fellow panellists what a ‘hard launch’.

“A hard launch is where you reveal to everyone on your social media where you reveal that you were dating. You put up a picture and you’re like ‘this who I’m with’ and everyone goes wild,” Grace said.
From here, Ruth proceeded to break her silence of a photo that’s been circulating on social media that saw her going on a romantic dog walk with a mystery man.
“So, unbeknownst to me, apparently I have a new man. I don’t know who the woman in the bobble hat is because it’s clearly not me. They’ve done something to it.
“The full story of girls of heartbreak, closure and a love that came full circle, according to this article all over Facebook.
“Friends kept ringing me up going ‘have you got a new man you haven’t told us about’ and I went ‘no’,” she said.
Ruth added: “Apparently, I met this man when we were childhood sweethearts when I grew up in Belfast, which I didn’t. Now it’s come full circle after all these years and we’re back together.”
While the panel were laughing at the story, Jane Moore pointed out the worrying implications of ‘people believing’ the story.
“We’re laughing, that’s sort of jokey, but people believed that. You see those things all the time and if that gets abused into you saying something you didn’t say, that to me is scary. That guy who is there, is he a real person,” she asked.
Ruth replied: “I don’t know. If you look again, I don’t think you can see it but that’s not my jacket. There’s a little dog who isn’t Maggie.
“He’s holding the leash so it might be his dog. He’s alright, not bad. If that’s you and you’re watching…”
