EXCLUSIVE MAFS UK’s Julia-Ruth Smith and Keye Luke reveal what ‘controversial’ Steven Springett is REALLY like 👀

Over the years there’s been some pretty controversial Married At First Sight stars – Harrison Boon and Jack Dunkley both spring to mind but the latest person we’ll have to add to the list is series 10’s Steven Springett.

His marriage to Nelly Patel got off to a great start but after she fell and broke a rib and Steven went on a night out with his co-stars, the cracks began to show.

After he called Nelly a ‘f–king idiot’ and was called out by the MAFS experts, things went from bad to worse when his co-stars tried to get him to take accountability but it ended in a blazing row. Steven stormed off, threw his drink on the floor and branded his co-stars ‘f–king clowns’.

So when his co-stars Julia-Ruth Smith and Keye Luke came to heat Towers, we had to ask what Steven is like in real life because viewers don’t seem to be too keen.

‘Do you know what, I think I’ve had two different experiences with Steven. I feel like Steven is a lot of fun and good energy,’ she told us.

‘So we got on in that sense because he actually really is a ball of laughter, loves to sing and crack jokes and he has got a really caring side.’

Julia-Ruth went on to say, ‘After commitment ceremonies he’d come and check up on me or Divarni [Balogun]. I think he gave Divarni a kiss on the forehead once and was like, “Hey bro, are you good?” Divarni was like, “Oh my gosh, what’s going on?”

‘So Stephen’s got that side to him.’

Keye – who has had a disagreement with Steven on camera – went on to say, ‘My experience with Steven is obviously a tad different.’

‘I can see that he does have a fun bubbly side obviously we did spend time together.

‘I don’t know… Different experiences, I can see [Julia’s point of view] but different people are for different people.’

Well, that’s that then.
