NBA Legend Dwight Howard Makes 4-Word Post Before Warriors-Lakers Game

On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will play their first game of the 2025-26 season when they host the Golden State Warriors.

The Lakers have one of the most talented rosters in the NBA, but are coming off a year where they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs.

The NBA Player Guessing Game allows you to guess the NBA player based on clues about their team, division, height, jersey number, points, and experience.

Dwight Howard Sends Out Post Before Lakers Game

Before the game, former Lakers star Dwight Howard sent out a post for the team.

Howard wrote: “Let’s Go Lake Show 🔥”

Howard is a popular Lakers player since he had three stints with the franchise (and helped them win the 2020 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat).

Many fans commented on his post.

@LakersLead: “LAKER LEGEND don’t know y u used a photoshop picture of urself in a jersey tho”

@ImJustREVENGE: “Rob chose Maxi Kleber over you still can’t believe it”

@SoundNTheFury29: “You had more fun being a sixer you know it”

@GRITS_562: “Come back! Play, coach, cheerlead, whatever just come back”

Howard last played in the league during the 2021-22 season when he was in his final stint with the Lakers.

He finished that year with averages of 6.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest while shooting 61.2% from the field in 60 games.

Via The Los Angeles Lakers (on September 6): “Dwight Howard: Champion. Defensive anchor. 8x All-Star. And now: Hall of Famer.”

In addition to the Lakers, Howard also spent time playing for the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets, Charlotte Hornets, Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards over 18 seasons.

He was the first pick in the 2004 NBA Draft (out of high school).

Following Tuesday’s game against the Warriors, the Lakers will remain in Los Angeles to host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.

They are entering their first full year with Luka Doncic on the roster, which means the expectations will be very high right off the bat.
