On Tuesday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder hosted the Houston Rockets for their first game of the 2025-26 season.
The Thunder won by a score of 125-124 (in double overtime).
Chet Holmgren finished his night with 28 points, seven rebounds and two assists while shooting 11/17 from the field in 39 minutes of playing time (he fouled out).

Following the Rockets, the Thunder will play their next game on Thursday night when they visit the Indiana Pacers for a rematch of the 2025 NBA Finals.
Holmgren is in his third season in the NBA (all with the Thunder).
The 2025 NBA Champion finished last season with averages of 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.2 blocks per contest while shooting 49.0% from the field and 37.9% from the three-point range in 32 games.
