JJ Redick Reveals Bronny James Injury Update Before Lakers-Warriors Game

This week, the Los Angeles Lakers will tip off their season when they host Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
Second-year guard Bronny James missed the final two games of the preseason with an ankle injury, so his status against the Warriors still remains up in the air.
Bronny James Limited In Practice:
On Sunday, head coach JJ Redick revealed the latest on Bronny.

While Bronny did not play a major role for the Lakers (as a rookie), he is still among the most high-profile players in the league.
He finished his first NBA season with averages of 2.3 points per contest while shooting 31.3% from the field and 28.1% from the three-point range in 27 games.

Bronny had the most productive stint of his pro career with the South Bay Lakers (in the G League).
When he was given minutes, he played at a very high level.
However, the 21-year-old still has a lot to prove in the NBA.
Via NBALakersReport: “Bronny James G-League stats last season: 👑 21.9 PPG 👑 5.5 APG 👑 5.1 RPG 👑 1.9 SPG 👑 44.3/38.0/81.5 How big of a jump will he make this season? 🤔🍿📈”
The Lakers will begin the 2025-26 season without Bronny’s father (LeBron) who is currently dealing with an injury.
Via ESPN’s Shams Charania: “Lakers star LeBron James is sidelined for at least 3 to 4 weeks due to sciatica on his right side. He is out for the start of the 2025-26 NBA season.”
