The 22-year-old Roy has three goals and one assist over four games this season in the AHL while Del Gaizo, 26, hasn’t recorded a point in four games.
In a corresponding move, forward Owen Beck was loaned to the Rocket.
The Habs are 5-2 on the season following a 4-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Monday. Montreal begins a four game West coast road trip on Wednesday against the Calgary Flames.
Ottawa Senators
Forward Olle Lycksell was recalled from the Belleville Senators of the AHL.
The 26-year-old Sweden has played two games with Ottawa and two games with Belleville this season.
Linus Ullmark will get the start in net on Tuesday against the visiting Edmonton Oilers.
Seattle Kraken
American forward Ben Meyers was recalled from the Coachella Valley Firebirds of AHL while Ville Ottavainen was reassigned.
The 26-year-old has two goals over three games in the AHL this season.
