10 Freeway accident: 2 people killed after semitrucks, multiple vehicles crash in Ontario

ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) — Three people were killed in a fiery crash involving as many as eight vehicles, including four semi-trucks, on the 10 Freeway in Ontario on Tuesday.
The violent crash was captured on dashcam video and shows a semi-truck slam into the back of an SUV and then plow into multiple other vehicles in the same lane. The semi-truck then veers right and finally comes to a stop after appearing to hit another semi on the side of the road.

The crash occurred on the westbound 10 Freeway just east of the 15 Freeway shortly before 1:15 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol. The wreck shut down several lanes in the area, bringing traffic to a standstill.
At least three people were killed and four others were injured in the crash, according to the Los Angeles Times. The Times reports that the truck driver, a 21-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
In an update on social media shortly before 8:30 p.m., CHP said the westbound main lanes of the 15 Freeway will remain closed for two more hours, but the FasTrak lanes are open for all vehicles.
