A Celebrity Traitors star’s major game show blunder is set to air in a new season of Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel.
Rugby star Joe Marler is currently starring in the BBC’s star-studded spin-off of The Traitors, but he will also make an appearance in Season 6 of The Wheel which kicks off this Saturday (October 25).
The primetime game show sees a host of celebrities sitting at a spinning wheel and aiding contestants with answering questions in a range of categories. Each celebrity has their own area of expertise which they can use to help the players progress.
However, if the players get a question wrong or the wheel lands on a celebrity that has been shut down, the contestant is sent back down to the smaller contestant wheel and it is up to chance whether they get to play again.

In an exclusive preview clip of an upcoming episode, the sportsman can be seen panicking after giving the wrong answer in the category he claimed to be an expert in, but he then gave a bizarre excuse for his blunder.
“I’m almost certain I pressed driving instructor,” he told host Michael McIntyre, who responded with a confused: “Oh?”
“Are you going to tell me that I didn’t?” the sportsman continued, to which Michael replied: “You pressed Member of Parliament.”

Clarifying what had gone wrong, Joe continued: “But what was above that?” as Michael confirmed that the right answer was positioned above the Celebrity Traitors star’s locked in answer.
“Yeah, so it might have been my fault because of my fingers,” Joe clarified, putting the blame squarely on his physical frame.
“It’s a finger issue isn’t it?” Michael said, before turning to The Wheel player Sally to deliver some bad news.
“Unfortunately, owing to a hiccup with Joe’s index finger, you did get the question wrong which means he’ll be shut down for the next bit, punished for that, which will double your chances of losing your place on this wheel.”
A new season of Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel begins Saturday night (October 25) at 8.20pm on BBC One and iPlayer
