JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes are making it red carpet official!

The “Karma” singer, 22, made her red carpet debut with her British beau on Tuesday, October 21, at Dancers Against Cancer’s 2025 Gala of the Stars at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

As well as walking the red carpet together for the first time, Tuesday’s gala proved to be a particularly memorable evening for the couple as Hughes, 32, presented Siwa with the Humanitarian Award on stage.

Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly at the event, Siwa said it was a “big deal” for her and Hughes to make their red carpet debut at the event — which comes six months after they met on Celebrity Big Brother UK.

Things are heating up between JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes. The couple met while they were both contestants on the U.K.’s Celebrity Big Brother in April 2025. Viewers started to speculate that the duo were becoming more than just friends while the show was airing. However, Siwa continually denied that her relationship with Hughes was […]

“I mean, honestly, just kind of how the cookie crumbled,” Siwa told Us about why Tuesday’s gala was the perfect time to step out together.

Hughes, meanwhile, gushed that he was ecstatic to celebrate his girlfriend as she received an award.

“You in this wonderful, wonderful situation,” Hughes said to Siwa. “The Humanitarian Award’s incredible. So, to come here tonight, and kind of have a small involvement and able to present her with the award, is very special. It was an easy flight to come over to see JoJo, to see the family, and to see everyone here.”

For the occasion, the Dance Moms alum wore a floor-length black dress with jewelry adorning the neckline, while Hughes wore a polka dot brown shirt and white pants.

Siwa reflected on her romance with Hughes, telling Us that she couldn’t be happier.

“There’s no real way to explain it. Just anything and everything about him just … I was telling my mom this, actually. I was like, ‘Anything about him, I just adore it,’” she said. “It is just fun and I don’t know, just feels right. I love the bond that he has with my family. I love his family.”

“I love your family,” Hughes added, describing Siwa’s relatives as “adorable.”

The singer and dancer went on to share how she’s able to be vulnerable with Hughes, explaining how he comforted her the night before after a particularly busy period.

“It just feels so relaxed,” she said. “Honestly, I’ve had a very nuts few weeks … and last night we were laying in bed, and I’ll be honest, I had a cry. And then he held me tight. I was just having to cry because I was just overwhelmed and exhausted.”

Siwa said her boyfriend was half-asleep, but still made the effort to comfort her.

“I was jet-lagged,” Hughes described the sweet moment. “I still cared that she was upset.”

Siwa continued, “I said to him, ‘This is the calmest I’ve felt in a really long time.’ It just feels calm.”

“It’s not platonic anymore, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way,” Siwa told The Guardian in June. “Clearly, you’ve never been around us. I won’t ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now.”

The following month, Hughes said in an interview with Fabulous magazine, “Life has an unexpected way of bringing two people together, and this feels like that. We were meant to cross paths. We keep saying to each other it was serendipity. Life handed me a blessing in my lap.”
