Arizona weather forecast: Warmer, dry Tuesday in Phoenix

Evening Weather Forecast – 10/21/25
A storm system will arrive overnight, bringing light showers to northern and eastern Arizona. The Valley will wake up to a warmer Wednesday. FOX 10’s Erica Horvatin has the latest forecast.
PHOENIX – Changing weather is expected over the next 24 hours.
Tuesday:
Tuesday was a warmer than normal day across Arizona, with high temperatures reaching the low 90s in the Valley, and the 70s and low 80s in the high country.
Clouds started moving into Arizona during the afternoon, and cloud cover will increase overnight. Temperatures will stay warmer, thanks to the clouds, with lows in the upper 60s in the Valley.
Wednesday:
A low pressure system will move inland from the Pacific Wednesday through Thursday, bringing clouds and even some rain showers. The Valley could see a few sprinkles Wednesday morning and midday, but it is unlikely that the Valley will see any measurable rainfall.
Temperatures will climb back to 90 degrees in the Valley Wednesday.
Winds may be breezy at times on Wednesday, with gusts up to around 15 mph in the Valley, and up to around 30 mph in the high country.
Thursday:
There will be a chance for mountain rain showers in northern and eastern AZ, late Tuesday night, through Thursday. The storm will bring a cold front through by Thursday, and high temperatures will drop into the low 80s on Thursday.

- If your neighborhood is prone to flooding, be prepared to evacuate quickly.
- Follow evacuation orders and do not attempt to return until officials say it is safe.
- If power lines are down, do not step in puddles or standing water.
- If power is out, use a flashlight. Do not use any open flame as alternate lighting.
Preparing for a severe thunderstorm
The American Red Cross’ tips for preparing for a severe thunderstorm:
- Put together an emergency kit.
- Know your community’s evacuation plan.
- Create a household disaster plan and practice it.
- Purchase a battery-powered or hand-crank radio
- Discuss thunderstorm safety with members of your household. Be aware that a thunderstorm could produce flooding.
- Pick a safe place in your home for household members to gather during a thunderstorm. This should be a place where there are no windows, skylights, or glass doors, which could be broken by strong winds or hail and cause damage or injury.
