Lidl, Aldi and Morrisons are urgently recalling 4 products and tell shoppers ‘do not eat’

UK food shoppers are advised to check their cupboards as popular food products are being recalled this week. The Food Standards Agency has issued alerts for products at major retailers such as Lidl, Aldi, and Morrisons.

The recalls affect a range of items, including snacks, meat and condiments, due to undeclared allergens or potential contamination that could pose serious health risks. Lidl GB XXL Sondey Stroopwaffel with Caramel Flavour Filling & Butter

Lidl GB has issued a recall for its XXL Sondey Stroopwaffel with Caramel Flavour Filling & Butter after it was discovered that the product may contain small pieces of metal. The presence of metal makes the product unsafe for consumption and poses a potential health risk to consumers.

Customers who have purchased this item are advised not to eat it and to return to the Lidl store where it was bought for a full refund.

Aldi Ashfields 30 Day Matured Thin-Cut Beef Steaks 

Anyone with a milk allergy or intolerance is being warned to avoid Aldi’s Ashfields 30 Day Matured Thin-Cut Beef Steaks, as the store is recalling the product after it was discovered to contain milk that is not listed on the label.

The issue is the result of a packaging error, which makes the product potentially unsafe for affected consumers. Those with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents are advised “do not eat” and should return the meat to the store of purchase, where they will receive a refund.

Aldi PYB02 PANATAS Part-Baked 6 pack custard tarts

Aldi is recalling PYB02 PANATAS Part-Baked 6 Pack Custard Tarts because they contain egg, milk, and wheat (gluten), and may also contain hazelnuts, sesame, and soya, none of which are listed on the label.

This makes the product a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy to these ingredients or for anyone with coeliac disease. Customers who have purchased the tarts are advised not to eat them and to return the product to the Aldi store and get their money back.
