Leave it to the Olsen twins to keep us guessing. On Tuesday night, Mary-Kate Olsen emerged from her cave of quiet luxury to meet Kendall Jenner for dinner at Sushi Park, the celebrity-beloved fish joint located in a strip mall in West Hollywood. The duo both wore simple outfits — all black for Olsen and a white T-shirt and black trousers for Jenner — and carried black leather bags from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s brand, The Row, to dine on onigiri and sashimi.
Now, what is one of the most mysterious names in fashion doing grabbing omakase with a member of the KarJenner universe? For one thing, Jenner has been wearing The Row for years — she recently wore a black dress from the brand to the Academy Museum Gala and was spotted at its “secret” show during Paris Fashion Week, so it seems like she has a good relationship with the brand. Does this meetup signal she’s about to get upgraded to an ambassadorship? Either that or The Row is dying to get some airtime on the next season of The Kardashians.
As far as questions go, I have plenty. Where was Ashley? Did these two gals talk about MK’s former brother-in-law’s jail sentence over crispy rice? Did they light up a Marlboro Red after getting papped? The answers, as with most things Olsen, are swaddled in beige.
