Woman, 18, airlifted to London hospital after huge emergency response

An 18-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a huge emergency services response last night.
Jubilee Way, a flyover which goes over the Port of Dover’s Eastern Docks, was blocked off, with police cars and paramedics joined at the scene by four fire engines, a height vehicle and a rescue unit.
One witness reported overhearing staff discussing the incident and saying it was the result of someone falling from the White Cliffs.
The coastguard was also in attendance, with the area shut off just before 11pm.
A police spokesperson told KentOnline: “We were called at 10.17pm on Tuesday to concerns for the welfare of a person in the Port of Dover.
“Officers attended the scene alongside other emergency services. An 18-year-old woman was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries.
“She remains in hospital in a stable but serious condition.”

A fire service spokesperson said: “Four fire engines, a height vehicle and the KFRS Line Rescue Unit attended, and crews worked with other emergency services at the scene.”
