A downtown-area restaurant in Winnipeg is on fire.
Emergency crews were called to Boujee Restaurant & Bar around 5:45 a.m. Thursday.
Thick smoke could be seen billowing into the air from the building at the corner of Main Street and York Avenue.
The owner was at the scene but did not want to talk.
The northbound lanes of Main Street in that area are closed and the traffic lights at the intersection at Main and York are out.
Vehicles heading north on Main are being rerouted. The stretch of York into and out of The Forks is also closed.
Police and cadets are directing traffic.
