Crystal Palace vs Larnaca preview
Crystal Palace seem to enjoy playing the role of the underdog against some of the biggest Premier League teams, but they are the favourites to win the Conference League and can make it two wins from two in the competition by claiming a narrow victory over Larnaca.
Juggling European and domestic fixtures is an ongoing challenge for Oliver Glasner, who will be mindful of keeping fringe players motivated and affording some rest for key senior men in the run up to Sunday’s trip to Arsenal.
But Glasner has the benefit of picking from a largely healthy squad and should come up with a winning formula against the Cypriot cup winners, who are fifth in their domestic standings with 13 points from seven matches.
Larnaca are double-figure odds to deliver a shock away victory, but they approach the task with plenty of confidence having won 4-0 at home to AZ Alkmaar on matchday one.
Imanol Idiakez’s side were given a leg up by AZ centre-back Alexandre Penetra, who was sent off after just two minutes of the contest, but they made excellent use of the extra man and deserved their success after carving out a 64 per cent share of possession and winning the shot count 23 to six.
There were four different scorers against AZ, including Serbian forward Dorde Ivanovic, who has netted four goals in his last five appearances.
Ivanovic won his only cap for his country in 2017, but he is playing some of the best football of his career and will need to be closely marshalled by the Palace defence.

Larnaca are an attack-minded side but they can leave themselves open at the back, as was the case earlier this month when losing 4-2 at home to domestic leaders Pafos.
And they may struggle to cope with Palace, even if first-choice front men Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta are given the evening off.
Glasner will be keen to give opportunities to Eddie Nketiah, a scorer against Kyiv, and Romain Esse, who were big-money buys but are still searching for confidence and rhythm in a Palace shirt.
Given the likely mass changes, there will almost certainly be an impact on performance.
Larnaca should have a few moments and may even get themselves a goal, but the points are set to stay in south London.
Lerma could lose his cool
Jefferson Lerma has made just one Premier League start this season and will be eager to impress.
The Colombian relishes the physical side of the game and looks overpriced to commit at least a couple of fouls.
Lively Larnaca can find the net
Palace are red-hot favourites although they might have to work hard for the three points against an enterprising opponent.
Larnaca are likely to play with plenty of energy and purpose and they can get themselves on the scoresheet.
Crystal Palace vs Larnaca Bet Builder
Justin Devenny to assist a goal
Devenny has shown his quality for Northern Ireland during World Cup qualifying and his dangerous deliveries could be key to Palace making the breakthrough.
Hrvoje Milicevic to commit two or more fouls
Palace should do most of the attacking and they can draw multiple fouls from Larnaca centre-back Hrvoje Milicevic, who has been carded four times this season.
Over 2.5 goals
Palace have been involved in some entertaining games in recent weeks and can contribute to a high-scoring spectacle in their first home match of the league phase.
