The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team will continue Big Ten play on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Minneapolis to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The Huskers are 23-0 for the second time in three years; the 2023 team started 27-0.
Nebraska has 14 consecutive sweeps, the most the program has had since recording 17 sweeps in 2007. The team has also won 43 sets in a row, the most since winning 53 straight sets in 2007.
The Huskers’ offense ranks first nationally with a .339 hitting percentage. The defense is equally impressive, ranking second in the nation in opponent hitting percentage at .117.
Junior Harper Murray leads the team with 3.66 kills per set, 2.29 digs per set and a team high 22 aces. Setter Bergen Reilly runs the offense at an elite level with an average of 10.08 assists per set, while adding a team-high 2.64 digs per set.
Minnesota is 17-7 on the year and 7-6 in the Big Ten. Julia Hanson leads the Golden Gophers with 4.10 kills per set and is hitting .303 on the season.
Nebraska is 39-12 all-time against Minnesota.
