Kim Kardashian has disclosed that a routine MRI scan uncovered a small aneurysm in her brain, which medics believe was caused by the strain of her divorce from Kanye West.
The 45 year old reality television star broke the news during the seventh series premiere of The Kardashians whilst chatting with sister Kourtney Kardashian, 46.
“They found a little aneurysm,” Kim revealed, prompting a visibly stunned Kourtney to place her hand over her chest and respond: “Whoa.”

The programme featured Kim at a medical centre being wheeled into an MRI scanner as pictures of her brain were displayed on a screen.
During a subsequent scene, the mum-of-four became emotional during a telephone call, asking: “Why the f*** is this happening?”.
Throughout the distressing footage, Kim also pondered the pressure of her marriage and split from Kanye West, explaining that the upheaval of everything played a part in her frightening health concerns.

The NHS explains that an aneurysm occurs when a blood vessel in the brain swells like a balloon. Should it burst, it may cause serious internal haemorrhaging and prove fatal, reports the Mirror.
Smaller aneurysms which haven’t ruptured are typically observed through routine examinations instead of immediate surgical intervention.
Medical data reveals the frequency and dangers of brain aneurysms and the Brain Aneurysm Foundation states that approximately 6.8 million Americans, roughly one in 50, are living with an unruptured aneurysm.
Approximately 30,000 individuals suffer a rupture annually, whilst worldwide, almost 500,000 fatalities are associated with aneurysms each year, with half of those affected being under 50.
Kim has remained candid regarding her past health battles over the years. She has consistently managed autoimmune disorders, including psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
